Hello!  Thank you for stopping by ShopSmall OKC.  

We we moved to the city in the summer of 2014 I couldn't believe how wonderful the metro area was.  I had lived in Southern California for a fun-filled year and before that I had spent my entire life in Texas -- unlike many people I know here, I am a transplant Oklahoman.  I live in the historic heart of the city with my husband and our three children.  In our spare time, we sit on our porch while drinking old-fashioneds and watch our children play outside and in the neighborhood.  I love the marvels and wonders of modern technology but I also believe in perserving the face to face interactions that build up communities.  I feel fortunate to live in OKC where new and established businesses are flourishing all around me and I want to do my part to encourage local shopping.

Shop Small OKC is a resource to support and connect local businesses to each other and also to our community.  So many local business owners pour their hearts and souls into their businesses and thus into Oklahoma City.  It makes our city vibrant, unique and full of character.  If you are an Oklahoma Native, a transplant like me, or a visitor, I am so happy you are here!  Let’s show the Oklahoma City small business scene how much we value their hard work and contribution to the texture and atmosphere of OKC!
